Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using BuildCalc, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our calculators. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Free Tool / As-Is Service

BuildCalc provides its construction calculators free of charge on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without any warranty of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Use of our calculators is at your own discretion and risk.

3. No Warranty on Calculation Accuracy

All results produced by BuildCalc are estimates only. Construction calculations depend on many real-world variables — material density, waste factor, site conditions, local standards — that our calculators cannot fully account for. You must verify all quantities with your material supplier or licensed contractor before placing any order or beginning any project. BuildCalc makes no representation that calculator outputs are accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific project.

4. User Responsibility for Purchases

BuildCalc is not liable for the over-ordering or under-ordering of construction materials based on results from our calculators. You are solely responsible for determining final order quantities before purchasing. Always add an appropriate waste allowance and consult a professional when accuracy is critical to your project.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use automated scripts or bots to scrape or harvest data from BuildCalc at a rate that could damage our infrastructure. You agree not to attempt to circumvent any security measures, reverse-engineer our tools, or interfere with other users. Violation of this policy may result in termination of your access.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BuildCalc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to costs from material over-ordering, project delays, or construction errors — resulting from your use of or reliance on our calculators.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.
