Welcome to BuildCalc — a free collection of construction calculators for estimating materials, quantities, and costs. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our tools. BuildCalc was designed with privacy as a core principle: your numbers stay on your device.

2. Client-Side Processing

All construction calculations — concrete volumes, board feet, paint coverage, roofing estimates, and more — run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. BuildCalc has no backend servers that process your inputs. The measurements and quantities you enter never leave your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party.

3. No Personal Data Collection

BuildCalc does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). We do not ask for your name, email, address, or payment details to use the free calculators. When you close the browser tab, any values you entered are gone — we retain nothing.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymous usage data — such as which calculators are used most often, general geographic region, and device type. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Cookies

BuildCalc uses only the analytics cookies set by Google Analytics 4. These cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) help us understand how visitors interact with our calculators so we can improve them. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any other tracking beyond GA4 analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

6. Third-Party Services

The only third-party service BuildCalc uses is Google Analytics 4. We do not sell, rent, or share any information with advertisers or other third parties. No data broker integrations, no affiliate tracking, no social media pixels.
